Lara is a fully qualified Ballet and Secondary School teacher and is the founder of Peak Ballet.
Lara originally trained and worked as a Secondary School teacher where she gained valuable experience in teaching, learning and classroom management. After a career break raising her three children and gaining further experience in Primary education, Lara went on to fulfill her aspiration to specialise in the teaching of Classical Ballet. She graduated with the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and now holds their Registered Teaching Status. The RAD is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations.

Combining a life-long love of ballet with her teaching background, Lara is equipped with the skills to inspire and motivate each and every student to reach their full potential, regardless of age or ability. She believes in a fun and holistic approach that is informative and will assist students in gaining transferrable skills for life.

Having three children of her own, two of whom dance, Lara brings a nurturing aspect to her teaching. Being committed to Continuing Professional Development and having been an adult improver herself, she understands that achieving small individual milestones can be just as important for a student’s personal development and self-esteem as exam successes.
